JOSÉ JOAQUÍN CARVALLO joined our firm in 2012 Previously, he had acted as an intern in the Litigation area of the law firm Estudio Eluchans & Cía.
His professional career has been focused on the firm’s Litigation area, doing so before the lower courts of law and arbitration courts, handling civil, commercial and class actions as well as administrative cases; predominantly in the area of insurance law. Likewise, he took part in consultancies regarding tender processes and the underwriting of insurance policies.
He studied law at Universidad Diego Portales and got a Diploma from Universidad de Chile, with his thesis on “The current problems regarding Liability and Damage Law” (2017).
He also acted as an assistant professor at the Department of Civil Procedural Law of Universidad Diego Portales (2015 to 2017).
He is a member of the Insurance Lawyers Bar Association - AIDA - Chile.
